South Carolina is making our Veterans a priority for employment in state agencies and institutions.Job Responsibilities This position is located at Department of Mental Health-Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Nursing Services, Adult Clinic Services, CAMHC #177.
Under general supervision, provides an array of face-to-face or telephonic intervention/nursing services to a diverse population of patients served at Columbia Area Mental Health Center (CAMHC) to promote recovery, stabilization and independence which includes, but not limited to, injection medication administration, medication monitoring/assessments, health teaching/training and providing laboratory services.Manages an MMO caseload of 50+ patients, as well as other assigned patients, while maintaining a collaborative working relationship with supervisor, clinical and administrative staff.Collects, organizes, and records data and information in the patient's medical record in accordance with applicable Quality Assurance standards, CARF guidelines and Corporate Compliance standards.Promptly performs lab tests/procedures ordered by Physician/Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Screening for pre-existing medical problems, etc.
and ensures that the Physician/NP receive all findings in a timely manner.
Highlights any abnormal results and immediately reports the value to the appropriate Physician/NP.Regularly attends and participates in treatment team meeting, supervisory meetings, nursing in-services and serves on Center and SCDMH committees as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements State Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Agency Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in nursing and two (2) years experience; or a three (3) year diploma and two (2) years experience; or an associate degree in nursing and two (2) years experience as a registered nurse, one (1) of which must have been in a community health program.
Must be licensed as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.Note:
