Job Summary
Under the direction of the lab manager and medical director, the Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer performs most cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams. Provides quality patient care using lab physiological and ultrasound equipment. Assists with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings as the schedule dictates and participates in after hours and on-call services. Minimum Requirements
Associate's Degree -Graduate of a formal sonography program
1 year - cardiac and vascular sonography experience performing non-invasive lab studies. Will consider clinical rotations during a formal educational program as experience.
In Lieu Of
In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, will consider 5 years of dedicated cardiovascular lab experience.
In Lieu Of the Educational requirements above, completion of a Director approved sonography program will be considered.
Team members in this job as of 11/08/2020 are grandfathered from the minimum requirements listed above pending state and regulatory requirements.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Registered in vascular technology (ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS).
Registered in echocardiography (ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS)
BLS
