The ideal candidate will be results-driven, team-and detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working on multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing assessments;
Utilize comprehensive nursing assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations in direct client care.
Monitor medication and administer injections with strict adherence to Center policy and procedure. Adjust monthly medication log according to doctor's medication orders.
Monitor signs and symptoms of psychiatric functioning; monitor medication regimen; assist in community networking and education.
Provide intake/assessment services and ongoing short term case management and psychotherapy services to adult outpatients;
Consult/liaison with psychiatrist and/or medical doctors and other treatment staff;
Provide individual, couple, family or group counseling.
Provide crisis intervention.
Provide referral consultation and education to the community regarding issues of chemical dependency and mental health.
Provide chemical dependency and mental health consultation, education and training to agency personnel.
Develop and implement treatment plans and document services consistent with Center standards and/or insurance requirements.
Collaborate with other providers, agencies and individuals in the client's network of care.

Provide education, training and modeling in basic daily living skills, social or parenting skills.
Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed.
Coordinate services within the Center as needed.
Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives.

Requirements:

Rhode Island registered nursing license required
Bachelor's Degree in the Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum (2) year experience in in a mental health setting working with clients with disabilities preferred.
Experience or training in related state and federal assistance programs also preferred.
Basic computer literacy skills are necessary.
