Job Summary
The Restaurant Server provides exceptional service to guests by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The server is responsible for delivering food and drinks accurately and promptly, maintaining a clean and organized dining area, and upholding the standards of service expected by the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Interaction :
Greet guests promptly and with a friendly attitude.
Provide menu information and offer recommendations.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Ensure guests' needs are met by checking in periodically throughout their dining experience.
Respond to guest requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Food and Beverage Service :
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and organized manner.
Ensure food orders are complete and accurate before delivering.
Upsell food and beverage items based on guest preferences and menu knowledge.
Prepare and serve specialty beverages (e.g., coffee, cocktails) as needed.
Maintain Cleanliness :
Set tables with appropriate silverware, napkins, and condiments.
Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently for new guests.
Maintain a clean and organized server station, dining area, and work environment.
Team Collaboration :
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers.
Assist coworkers with tasks during peak times, including refilling beverages or running food.
Support a team-based environment by working together to provide the best guest experience.
Cash Handling :
Process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, or mobile payments.
Accurately complete the check-out process and provide change or receipts to guests.
Ensure that all bills are processed correctly and all transactions are completed.
Safety and Compliance :
Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Ensure that alcohol is served responsibly and in accordance with local laws.
Comply with all restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, including dietary restrictions and ingredient information.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to stand, walk, and carry trays of food for extended periods.
Ability to work in a team and provide exceptional guest service.
Working Conditions
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment.
Standing and walking for long periods of time.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds (e.g., food trays, dishware, etc.).

The server role is an hourly position with tips.
