Minimum Qualification
Bachelors Degree Required
Experience in activity planning and coordination with seniors preferred
Experience and interest in working with seniors
Must be creative, organized and innovative
Excellent communication and engagement skills
Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Personal Characteristics
Must be effective in understanding all technology used in programming and train new staff in its use
Engage one to one with residents as needed for more personalized experiences
Oral and Written Comprehension and Expression - Must be able to convey and understand information and ideas in English
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
Must be able to independently and effectively ensure the execution of all resident programs
Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from multiple sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular situation
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by residents and guests
Physically able to move at least 50 lbs. without assistance
Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Physically able to bend, reach and work in small areas without difficulty
Ability to bend, stretch, stoop and reach repeatedly without difficulty
Physically able to push and pull, equipment and furnishings
Physically able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
Ability to stand for long hours and walk long distances without fatigue
Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
Utilize technology as a means of communication necessary to support resident needs and ensure operational compliance as well as resident safety and security
