ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) Registered in Vascular Technology within 7 months of hire date Certifications:
Basic Life Support.
Preferred:
ARDMS or CCI Registered in Echocardiography Must-Have:
Vascular registry is required, echo registry is preferred
- Perform all cardiac and vascular exams- Provide clerical relief as needed- Perform echocardiograms, including TEE & intraoperative studies- Perform vascular studies; however, registry-eligible technologists may not perform these independently without supervision- Conduct stress echocardiograms, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable- Perform EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring- Cover call duties as needed, with restrictions based on registry eligibility for vascular studies- Assist with clerical and reception duties- Complete all associated documentation- Maintain continuing education- Keep all areas stocked and tidy and participate in equipment cleaning- Assume the responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor in their absence- Adhere to organization-wide policies and procedures- Comply with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations and Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines- Perform within professional scope of practice at all times- Other duties as assigned Educational Requirements:
