Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00), rotating weekends every 5th weekend

License: Required: ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) Registered in Vascular Technology within 7 months of hire date
Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support. Preferred: ARDMS or CCI Registered in Echocardiography
Must-Have: Vascular registry is required, echo registry is preferred

• Perform all cardiac and vascular exams
• Provide clerical relief as needed
• Perform echocardiograms, including TEE & intraoperative studies
• Perform vascular studies; however, registry-eligible technologists may not perform these independently without supervision
• Conduct stress echocardiograms, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable
• Perform EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
• Cover call duties as needed, with restrictions based on registry eligibility for vascular studies
• Assist with clerical and reception duties
• Complete all associated documentation
• Maintain continuing education
• Keep all areas stocked and tidy and participate in equipment cleaning
• Assume the responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor in their absence
• Adhere to organization-wide policies and procedures
• Comply with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations and Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines
• Perform within professional scope of practice at all times
• Other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements:
• Graduate of Associate Degree patient care related program (unless registries were obtained prior to 2005)
Vaccine Requirements:
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
• Flu Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed
