What you'll do:
The Quality Inspector position is responsible for eliminating vehicle defects through the daily inspection of vehicles associated with company's various product lines including, but not limited to, truck bodies and chassis, motorhome chassis, specialty vehicles.
Perform complete pre-inspection, test drive of chassis (where applicable), and quality audits of finished product in accordance with process documentation
Document, communicate, and lead activities to resolve issues needing corrective action
Drive measurable improvements through training and process improvements
Perform minor repairs on completed vehicles after inspected if applicable
Perform joint verification on in-process vehicles and tool verification for on-line click wrenches
Work with Manufacturing Supervisors, Engineering, and Quality to resolve quality issues
Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Changes
Document and perform containment activities as directed
Assist in the review and updating of the build book
Validate all critical and safety items as required by build book
Ensure that paperwork is complete and accurate during the build process
Validate all serial numbers in system
Help to maintain tracking log of all repetitive issues
Review all Deviations, Quality Alerts, and Stop Shipments
Communicate and document (when appropriate) issues found and inform the appropriate associate and team leader
Develop and implement continuous improvement projects for the Quality Audit Process
Assist in the review and updating of the Work Instructions and Build Photos
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Support 5S in work area
Work in close proximity with customer, as needed
What you need to be successful:

HS Diploma or GED required
Strong and consistent attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
