SGC Surveying is currently seeking a Project Operations Analyst!! The Project Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the successful execution of projects by ensuring accurate setup, monitoring, and reporting of project financials, schedules, and documentation.
The role requires collaboration with Project Managers (PMs), Project Controls team, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
The Project Operations Analyst plays a key role in maintaining project data accuracy and contributing to process improvements that drive efficiency across the organization.
• Compensation for this role starts at $60,000 annually, and can increase based on experience.
• This role is required to sit local to the Mooresville, NC area with the potential to work a hybrid schedule.
• Duties and Responsibilities:


Provide support to PMs in tracking project demands, handling administrative tasks, and assisting project stakeholders as needed.
Work with the project controls team to set up new projects, change orders, and maintain project folders, ensuring all contracts, proposals, and authorization documents (e.g., Scope of Work, Purchase Orders) are complete and properly filed.
Work with PMs to anticipate project demands and resolve issues that arise during the project life cycle.
Develop and maintain project schedules and actual progress based on information provided by PMs or team members; prepare schedule reports; and analyze schedule data.
Prepare cost reports and analyze cost data; assist PMs with potential budget adjustments.
Review and track invoices and payments for SGC and subcontractors.
Assist with process improvement team efforts to reach project objectives.
Develop, track, and update project schedules and progress reports in collaboration with PMs, identifying potential delays and risks.
Regularly meet with PMs and other project stakeholders to review project financials, present project status, and execute action items related to aged work-in-progress (WIP) and AR reports.
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, internal/external stakeholders, and project teams, providing regular updates on project progress and financials.
Manage monthly projections updates (3-month look ahead) by obtaining necessary project information from respective PMs and ensure thorough communication of project status to management.
Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Perform other project-related duties as required by PMs or specific projects.
Knowledge of computer applications and functions including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software (Microsoft Project, Unanet, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills
Excellent problem solving/judgment skills
Ability to prepare and/or maintain project plans, reports, documents, and procedures to address specific project needs.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to travel and work extended hours for project assignments and meetings when necessary.
Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Required Experience:


Bachelor's degree plus at least (2) years of related project support experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training in Project Management is preferred.
Training in project management software is preferred.
Unanet experience is preferred.
Utility experience is preferred
