CobbFendley is seeking a Project Manager in our Englewood, Colorado Office
Summary:
The Project Manager shall manage all aspects of various utility design and coordination of OSP, ISP, fiber design and other utility-based project assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate's most important qualifications include the following.

Must have minimum 10+ years' experience as a Project Manager for Utility Coordination - Broadband Design.
Engineer with a BSCE, BSME, or BSEE.
OSP, ISP fiber design and other utility-based project experience is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of external fiber network design, infrastructure, and engineering or related processes.
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills with high level of diplomacy and tact.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
Desire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industry knowledge and grow in your career.
Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals.

Experience in creating scope/fee proposals and Statements of Qualifications

to support the growth and development of a broadband department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage Broadband project from start to finish, including being the main point of contact for the client(s).
Lead with Business development in Colorado with Broadband clients. Support the Broadband Discipline lead and marketing with any help required to submit our qualification/proposal for major/minor pursuits.
Primarily assist in the Location market with Broadband clients.
Prepare proposals for new projects, develop cost estimates, and schedule.
Perform project route analysis and high-level design for Fiber deployment.
Prepare a data bank of all permitting agency requirements.
Keep abreast of requirements of various permitting entities and any permitting requirement changes.
Update project-specific trackers.
Build and mentor the Broadband team. Respond to questions from CAD Technicians and GIS Technicians.
Learn and maintain knowledge of client standards, rules, and requirements for planning, construction, and documentation.
Request design drawings from various utilities as required for use in project designs.
Research ongoing/future CIP projects for various cities/counties within project boundaries.
Set up and maintain electronic files for projects and utility drawings.
Develop/maintain project schedules and client exhibits (KMZ & other GIS platforms) which define project scope of work.
Perform project route analysis and high-level design.
Coordinate field investigating requests.
Keep abreast of design changes from clients by responding to client request.
Coordinate and work alongside construction vendors in build progress and deliverables.
Assist design team in researching and determining required permits for various department projects.
Coordinate with and request permitting information from permitting entities as required.
Direct the submittal of permits to permitting entities.
Track the submittal and approval of all permits thru internal spreadsheets.
Resolution of problems identified in unapproved permits.
Submit, pick up, and obtain electronic signatures for drawings from the jurisdictional authority.
Documentation and file share with vendors and contractors.
Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities.
Work with minimal supervision and review design drawings, permit drawings, and GIS geodatabase deliverables (QA/QC).
Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

Work Environment. Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and outdoor environments for observations will be required.
Office Conditions. Includes extensive use of electronic devices such as computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones. Additionally, tasks may involve the use of cutting tools and equipment like rotary paper cutters and plotting devices.
Outdoor Conditions. Includes walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat and freezing temperatures), noise, and exposure to allergens (e. g. , pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy).
Safety and Equipment Use. Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, along with handling electric power tools, cutting tools, plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter, and other equipment.
Driving and Vehicle Use. May involve driving large pick-up trucks with attached trailers, potentially operating watercraft, and for extended periods of time.
Noise and Allergens. Potential exposure to high noise levels and vario.
