Idaho Transportation Department is currently hiring for a Program Specialist in the Division of Administration.
This position will be an integral part of the Admin Support Team based out of ITD's Headquarters office located in Boise, Idaho.
We are seeking applicants who have strong customer service and critical thinking skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a creative approach to problem solving, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
This position would be the primary contact for one or more of the Department's programs within the Division of Administration such as monitoring and reconciliation of the Departments Asset Database, including entries and reporting (Software and computing devices) and Issue, verify, monitor and order departments cell phones, circuits and data plans.
The incumbent will assist with program oversight with clients inside and outside of the agency.
Incumbents identify program policy and regulation issues, conduct research, and provide findings to unit Manager(s) and other Department Management.
They conduct service provider orientation, provide consultation on problem identification and resolution, and respond to inquiries and advise others on designated program issues.
Incumbents develop and disseminate information on new technologies, service delivery methods, and research findings.
They assess training needs and develop and present training programs for service providers and clients.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist with program oversight, monitor, and review program budgets in coordination with Division BOM and others within the division and department.
Monitor and reconciliation of the Departments Asset Database, including data entry and reporting (Software and computing devices)
Issue, verify, monitor, and order departments cell phones, circuits and data plans
Prepare or assist in the preparation of administrative reports, studies, and specialized research projects; evaluate research findings relative to specific projects being developed.
Participate in program planning, development, implementation and provide program related training to others.
Assist with budget reporting, invoice preparation, encumbrance monitoring for Administration Division.
Develop and disseminate information on new technologies, service delivery methods, and research findings; assess training needs and develop and present training programs for service providers and clients.
Investigate error reporting on failed transactions for supporting units.
Ensure proper program reporting and accounting (Program Lookup, Activity Codes, Phase Codes, Task Codes, Revenue Codes, Object Codes, Unit Codes, Location Codes, Commodity Codes, Phase/Object).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Some knowledge of management practices
Some knowledge of program or project planning and implementation
Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures
