Work Schedule Summary
This is a part-time position, requiring 19 hours per week during standard business hours. The schedule is somewhat flexible, but will generally follow these hours: Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (7 hours, 1 hour unpaid lunch),Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 10:00am-5:00 PM (6 hours, 1 hour unpaid lunch. ) There is some flexibility in the specific days and hours, provided they fall within business hours.

Job Summary
The Production Coordinator will play a vital role at Avanza 88. 3 KUUB , Utah's first bilingual public radio station, and will work closely with KUER operations and engineering colleagues. Avanza 88. 3 KUUB broadcasts in both English and Spanish with a focus on music, culture, community and public affairs. This position supports the technical execution of programming, ensuring smooth broadcasts and production of high-quality audio content, both for linear and non-linear media. The ideal candidate will have experience with WideOrbit, audio recording, editing, and production, and will work closely with the Program Director to implement broadcast clocks and maintain on-air standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Working with KUER technical staff in managing KUUB's technical operations on-site, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted broadcasts.
Collaborate with the Programming Director to develop and implement broadcast clocks, including music scheduling, using WideOrbit.
Ensure that all scheduled content airs correctly, including live shows, pre-recorded segments, and syndicated content.
Record, edit, and produce audio content for broadcasts, including interviews, promos, and other station segments.
Cut and edit promotional spots, station IDs, and underwriting announcements.
Maintain high production standards to ensure consistent audio quality across all content.
Work with on-air talent and producers to ensure that all content is appropriately scheduled and meets the station's guidelines.
Working with KUER staff to monitor and manage KUUB's automation systems, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
Coordinate with the Programming Director and other team members to align technical operations with the station's overall programming strategy.
Participate in regular team meetings to discuss programming schedules, technical needs, and production timelines.
Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed, to meet the demands of station operations.
Monitor compliance with FCC regulations and station policies.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related area and two years of experience in the field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) is required. Demonstrated computer, presentation software and A/V equipment skills. Human relations and effective communication skills also required.
Preferences
Strong technical troubleshooting skills and an understanding of radio broadcast equipment.
Strong skills in audio editing and production using software like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar.
Experience in creating high-quality audio content.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred.
