Job Summary:
This position will be a supervisory role in the Fox District Detroit Command Center (FDDCC).
There is an increasing need due to the increase in events at all of our venues as well as the return of colleagues back to work post-covid in the District Detroit.
This position would oversee the 3 shifts with 24/7 FDDCC responsibilities.
Our SAFETY Act certifications for our venues require us to demonstrate continuous improvement specifically in the area of technology.
This position demonstrates continuous improvement as it pertains to our SAFETY Act certifications by allowing us to use "INCONTROL" predictive analytic technology to more precisely predict crowd movement, evacuation routes, potential choke points, etc.
thus creating a safer environment for patrons and colleagues.
League security standards outline required procedures for screening, ingress and egress routes, access points, and require clear evacuation plans for all events.
The Predictive Analytics and Modeling Manager will use INCONTROL to proactively predict any potential issues with safety measures that are required by the leagues.
By doing so, security plans can be changed to mitigate any potential issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- This person would have supervisory duties in the Fox District Detroit Command Center including oversight of everyday 24/7 command center operations/Security Coordinators, decision making, and creating proactive predictive analytic reports.
- This person would oversee the predictive analytics and modeling program as it pertains to all business units working with Security, Marketing, Guest Relations, Operations, etc.
and advising decision makers proactively on staffing (marketing, guest relations, security, etc.), the locations of temporary fixtures such as merchandise point of sales, etc.
based on the predictive analytics simulations.
- This person is responsible for overseeing the training of appropriate colleagues on how to interpret predictive modeling and analytics data is imperative so that decision makers can understand the findings and implement appropriate response plans, alter event layouts, etc.
- The Predictive Analytic and Modeling Manager would be responsible for overseeing the coordination of Security assets with other Security management on event plans.
- Taking a leadership role and ensuring that the predictive analytic reports are disseminated to the appropriate decision makers in time so that plans can be altered to ensure safer ingress/egress, pedestrian pathways through the venue, evacuation routes, and a better patron experience.
- Responsible for overseeing the collection and retention of all analytic data related to event operations.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant topics listed in our SAFETY Act certifications.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant topics listed in league security standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in area of study, preferably Intelligence Analysis, Homeland Security, or Criminal Justice.
Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Current or previous experience in the fields of data analytics, law enforcement, security, or military is preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in security and safety and in addition, two (2) years experience in security related data analytics with a heavy concentration in crowd management and utilizing technology to predict crowd, experience with social media/open-source media, threat detection, and intelligence analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations for the protection of colleagues and guests.
- Strong computer abilities and experience in Microsoft Office software.
- The ability to learn and use advanced and emerging technology to promote security operations and the overall security posture of the District Detroit.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in English, using proper grammar, and vocabulary.
- The ability to read, understand and follow written instructions, and understand and comprehend verbal instructions.
- Strong problem-solving, mediation, and coaching skills.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work any shift
- Flexible schedule to include working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, usually 6-8 hours.
- Must be able to navigate stairs.
- Must be able to bend and lift objects necessary to perform primary duties.
- Must be able to work in a variety of outdoor climates including extreme heat and cold, humidity, rain, and darkness.
- Must be able to defend self or others, using minimal physical force if necessary, and only in accordance with corporate use of force policies.
