Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Vrbo Portfolios)

The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world.
This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech.

Introduction to team

This team is responsible for portfolio planning and implementation for around 200 Vrbo Account Management and Acquisition users globally.
They drive, improve and optimize processes that are the foundation of our variable incentive plans and KPI systems.

In this role you will:

• Manage the quarterly execution and continuous improvement of current processes

• Work with shifting strategic priorities to meet stakeholder needs and introduce new process customization options where needed

• Work with the internal Business Intelligence developer team and product management on creating, improving and maintaining custom-made tools (applications) to increase the efficiency of processes

• Design functional tools from an end-user perspective, writing specifications and testing

• Monitor for any data issues and partner with Account Management leaders, Analytics, Business Intelligence Development, Product Management and Engineering teams globally to find resolutions

• Maintain and improve existing Tableau reports, and build new ones to meet incremental needs

• Partner with Vrbo Account Management and Acquisition leaders globally to understand their needs and assumptions, in order to provide guidance and deliver new solutions

• Be in regular contact with and provide support to a large group of internal customers at multiple hierarchy levels up to senior management

• Work with Sales Enablement on creating and keeping content up to date in Seismic

Experience and qualifications:

• You have 5+ years in a relevant position, ideally with some sales territory management experience

• Strong and demonstrable skills in SQL (MS SQL, Querybook etc) are a must, along with solid skills in Excel

• You have a good ability to maintain and build mid-complexity reports in Tableau

• Ability to execute existing Python scripts and slightly modify them to the use case

• You are logical and analytical, with the ability to work in a changing environment and to tight delivery timelines

• Detail-orientated, with the ability to also see the bigger picture

• Ability to navigate a large organization and connect with colleagues across geographies to find answers and resolve problems
