Physician Assistant - Cardiology

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular health, excellent clinical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This role involves working closely with cardiologists to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with various heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and blood work.
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
Provide patient education on managing heart conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Participate in inpatient and outpatient care, including follow-up appointments and discharge planning.
Stay current with advancements in cardiology and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
NY State licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related field (preferred).
Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular medicine.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
