Hybrid schedule available of up to 1 day remote per week

Focus: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting Olin payroll operations through executing key payroll related tasks while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
Payroll Specialist Essential Job Functions:
Prepare and process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls, including creating, reviewing, and/or adjusting payroll entries, earnings and deductions
Analyze and reconcile payroll discrepancies for union, non-union and salary employees
Process, print, seal and distribute paychecks
Responsible for monthly printing of Pension checks and annual printing of Forms 1099-R
Develop and document process improvements
Test system updates/upgrades
Provide backup support for other Payroll personnel
Liaison between employees, supervisors, HR, Leave team and Olin locations

Payroll Specialist Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree* preferred
Minimum of 2 years of relevant payroll-related experience
Must be ableto manage multiple processes and work well under time sensitive deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Proficiency in PeopleSoft/Workday and Kronos preferred
Superior communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and be team-oriented
Must exercise diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality at all times
