The Tax Preparer will work closely with RKL's Tax Managers to assist with the tax preparations of RKL's client base.

Success Factors

Responsibilities

* Scan, file and organize necessary tax documentation into the firm system

* Conduct tax interviews with clients to determine the best and most compliant course of action

* Provide IRS audit support as needed

* Mentor and support Interns and Associates

* Provide guidance to Tax Interns in the scanning and preparation of tax returns

* Maintains accurate time and expense records to ensure proper billing of clients

Education, Experience and Certifications

* High school degree or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or any related field is a plus

* Enrolled Agent Licensure (CPA designation is not required)

* A valid PTIN is required

* Prior public accounting experience is preferred

* Previous experience preparing 1040's and other tax forms

Essential Functions

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed

* The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.

* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

* Ability to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as needed

* Ability to lift/carry up to 20 pounds

* Ability to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as needed

* Ability to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be required

Salary Range:

$20.00 - $30.00
