Mental Health Counselor

As the Mental Health Counselor, you will provide therapy to children in foster care within the foster homes, with the goal toward reunification.

Provide counseling services to an assigned individual caseload. Assess referred individuals and lead development, coordination, and evaluation of service plan in conjunction with treatment team, funding source, and key stakeholders.
Maintain current and complete records in accordance with corporate, contractual, and regulatory standards.
Provide ongoing monitoring and consultation to mentors regarding implementation of service plan, including pre-service introduction and continuing education.

For caseloads that include foster care, make foster and family home visits, and conduct mentor group meetings as required.

Assist with emergency coverage and crisis intervention support as needed, including participation in rotational on-call system.
Assist with legal, licensing, regulatory and certification activities as needed.
Participate in all activities designed to enhance and build an active network of mentors.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in human services with clinical coursework focus.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task.
Demonstrated skills with motivating team and driving results to meet goals.
Valid driver's license in good standing with access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
