ONSITE ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Spring House, PA

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Salary Range: $60,500 - $67,500

What we're looking for

• Education:

• BS/BA degree in applied/laboratory sciences with direct laboratory course work

• Experience:

• 2-3 years direct laboratory experience

• Working knowledge of experimental laboratory instruments and scientific products

• Experience with safe laboratory practices and procedures

• Previous experience working in a GLP/GMP facility, a plus

• Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

• Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality

• Ability to understand and follow scientific protocols, policies and procedures

• Must be flexible, forward-thinking, and motivated

• Able to act independently and manage responsibilities while following scientific direction

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Under minimal supervision, performs routine qualitative and quantitative laboratory procedures following all safety protocols and GLP as defined by the customer

• Prepares experiments and samples for analyses

• Analyses and accurately reports results, in a timely manner, to contribute to scientific meetings and project outcomes

• Operation and routine maintenance of laboratory instruments and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

• Accurately documents all procedures following customer requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Experienced in shipping and receiving of lab sensitive materials, a plus
