Immediate need for a talented Laboratory Sample Coordinator.
This is a 05+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in West Point, PA (Onsite).

Pay Range:
$25 - $27/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

First, the registration and inventory of research samples.
The individual will work with staff scientists to catalog research samples stored in -70C freezers and enter information into a sample management database.
Second, the qualified candidate will perform laboratory manager functions including, but not limited to, generating work orders, scheduling equipment maintenance and conducting lab safety inspections.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Skills-Sample Management, Inventory, Benchling.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field.
Familiarity with MS Office (Excel) or other spreadsheet-based applications.
Understanding of basic laboratory and cell culture techniques.
Candidates with data entry or sample management experience.
Knowledge of sample repository/sample inventory software / Benchling databases a plus.
Previous industry experience working with biological samples preferred.
Familiarity with biosafety level classification or infectious disease classification (BSL2 or BSL3 environments) a plus.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable primarily working by themselves, but be willing to work in a small team when needed and able to take direction.
Note:
6 months assignment.
Extension possibility.
Hybrid assignment, (1-2 days/ week remote), prior approvals needed from supervisor to work remotely.
