Seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide locum tenens coverage for a full-time clinical practice in Allentown, PA.
The position will involve both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at the Level 1 Trauma Center the Level 2 Trauma Center nearby.
The position is scheduled for 9 to 12 months, with rotating on-call duties as part of a 1-in-5 rotation at the Level 1 trauma center and a 1-in-3 rotation at the level 2 trauma center.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient Duties:
Provide full-time clinical care, including surgery, patient assessments, and management of complex neurosurgical cases.
Participate in meetings, grand rounds, and committees.
Perform and supervise neurosurgical procedures as outlined in the Delineation of Neurological Surgery Privileges.
Supervise and educate medical trainees, residents, fellows, and other learners.
Complete any associated administrative tasks as assigned by the Chair or Division Chief.
Outpatient Duties:
Care for outpatient neurosurgery cases (specifics TBD).
Required Qualifications:
Board Certification in Neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Active Pennsylvania Medical License required EPIC experience preferred.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and interact with medical trainees.
