RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT WORKER
RESIDENTIAL
WORKER CATERGORY - NON EXEMPT
General Summary:

Provide direct service and supervise daily living skills of residents within a group home for persons with long-term mental illness.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise residents and provide a safe and comfortable environment.
Provide intensive education, training and modeling in basic living skills and social skills including but not limited to shopping within a budget understanding the difference between "want" vs. "needs".
Coordinate and monitor medical, dental and psychiatric services.
Supervise medication compliance.
Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
Provide crisis intervention and basic behavioral program implementation.
Transport clients.
Review e-mail account daily for new messages.

Additional Responsibilities:
Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period.
Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities.
Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

Present a neat appearance in proper attire and identification as required by the position, department and agency policies and procedures.

Education, Experience and Competencies:
Associates Degree in Human Service field or equivalent experience required.
Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, special education or related human services preferred.
Experience in the Human Service field.

Certifications, Licenses Requirements:
Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.
