Job specification
Candidate requirements
Lead and manage the nursing staff within the operating room, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
Oversee surgical patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care delivery throughout all surgical procedures.
Manage day-to-day operations of the operating room, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize surgical services.
Serve as a key leader and responder during surgical emergencies, providing direction and support to the team in high-pressure situations.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Utah or a Registered Nurse compact license from participating compact states.
American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
CNOR certification is required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of leadership clinical experience in a hospital operating room; trauma-level experience is preferred. Note: Surgery Center experience will not be considered.
