Certification Details BLS required ACLS preferred Job Details Facility in Eastern Nebraska is looking for several traveling Med-Surg nurses.
The hospital is looking for both day and night shift coverage.
The shift will be twelve hours, 13-26 Week Contacts, 36-48 hour guarantee's.
Job Requirements ACLS Preferred, BLS Common diagnosis/Types of patients:
MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive RN's required to titrate drips:
Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
PCA pumps Charge Nurse on each shift take an assignment:
Yes Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit with Ratios and Duties:
Yes- 1:
10-20 Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit, RN's required to have tele awareness Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling:
SELF SCHEDULING.
0630-1900, 1830-0700 Travelers will be scheduled.
Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling Weekend Requirements:
Every other weekend Holiday Requirements:

Tele techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness This unit typically has multiple discharged and admissions in one day- a nurse is successful on this unit when they can manage the business of the day, have good attendance, are a team player, friendly, compassionate, and cares about patients first.

This unit typically has multiple discharged and admissions in one day- success on this unit requires managing the business of the day, good attendance, being a team player, friendly, compassionate, and putting patients first.
They serve patients of all cultures on this unit including Spanish, Karen, Burmese Radius Rule:
50 miles AND candidates may not be with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
