Job Summary:
Provides vocational training, vocational counseling, employability skills and social interpersonal skills in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. Also provides learning experience in the cognitive, psychomotor and effective domains in education.
Job Duties:
Instructs the students in particular subject matter, assigns students appropriate tasks and conducts relevant laboratory experiences in the assigned vocational area(s). Reviews, tests and evaluates the student's work and knowledge in compliance with the appropriate criteria/guidelines and counsels them about progress and performance. Assesses, develops and maintains instructional materials, an inventory of supplies and equipment and coordinates with academics in appropriate crosswalks. Prepares, maintains and submits internal and external records and documents. Participates in various activities outside of the classroom, as required. Maintains classroom discipline utilizing mandated criteria/guidelines. Establishes vocational linkages. Establishes and strengthens self-concept of all students in order to become functional and employable in society.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
No additional experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess and maintain a license as a Practical Nurse issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office on the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
