Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a General Surgeon to support KPS and our government customer in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Perform a range of surgical procedures
Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and consultations
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Participate in surgical rounds and provide comprehensive care throughout the surgical process.
Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and recovery processes.
Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies.
Participate in meetings, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Education, Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

US Citizenship is required by the government customer
Ability to successfully meet the background investigation requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of a General Surgery residency program
Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery
Active, current unrestricted license to practice in the state of Oklahoma
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Current BLS and ACLS certificates
Must be able to speak, understand, read and write English fluently

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.
The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
