Expertise required in mixing and matching pigment, oil, base and thinner in the right proportion to attain the desired outcome.
Maintains a safe work area and may train apprentices in the trade.Position Summary:
Understand how to mix base coat, clear coat, and single stage industrial coating paints.
Spray coat large surfaces with above coatings with a high-quality finishDuties and Responsibilities:
Mix and spray industrial type/automotive type paintsApply basic divisible math, ½, 2/3rds, etc., to paint mixingOperate and maintain all job-related tooling and equipmentPerform all Safety and Housekeeping dutiesOther duties as requested, directed or assigned by the SupervisorRequirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required as well as ability to read, write, and speak English in order to understand written and verbal instructions and document completion of workPaint School or Paint Tech Program Certificate requiredOrganizational skills and ability to multi-taskAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting professional behaviorDecision making capabilities - ability to make decisions and solve problemsAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with all company personnel, vendors and customersDefinitions:

This position operates in a plant environment of noise, dust, odors, and fumes.

Physical Demands:
This is a full-time position.
Must be willing to work overtime as scheduled and required.Lifting, pushing, or pulling 1-25 lbs.
FLifting, pushing, or pulling 26-50 lbs.
FLifting, pushing, or pulling 50-75 lbs.
OSitting FPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Required to wear Safety Shoes and use Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection.
