Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and Construction Operator to join our team. Candidate will account for equipment to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a dedication to safety.

Main Responsibilities

* Operate equipment used in construction in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations

* Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from crew as needed, check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is accurately positioned

* Carries out the work, operating the vehicles according to the prerogatives of the required authorizations and ensuring safety

* Prepares the tools and the materials vital for the building of the structure and the workspace

* Coordinate with crew ensuring smooth and efficient operations

* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on paving equipment to ensure efficient performance and prevent breakdowns

* Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to identify any potential issues or hazards

* Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and the team

* Collaborate with the construction team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational issues that may arise during projects

* Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including materials used, work performed, and hours worked

* Communicate optimally with supervisors and crew to ensure project requirements are met

Education

* High school diploma or GED

Skills

* Proven experience as an Operator or similar role

* Valid driver's license and clean driving record

* In-depth knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment

* Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and safety regulations

* Strong attention to detail and able to follow instructions accurately

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues

* Effective communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

* Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.

* Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)

* Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain

* Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions

* Frequent exposure to loud noise

* Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
