We have an opening for a SOLO Class A Support CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Columbus, OH

$2100 per week and it gets better! Top 10% of our drivers at this location make $120k+ per year!

Driver Positions Pay Weekly
Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour plus an additional $1.00 for every 3 certifications/endorsements; Overtime After 40
Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
Personal Mileage Reimbursement and Travel Time Paid
$500 Sign-on bonus paid out 1/2 within 30 days and 1/2 after 90 days
NST Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
Paid Training
Schedule: 5 Day Work Week w/ 2 Consecutive Days Off

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

Deliver SOLO To: Varies Based on the Account Supporting
Route: Quality Home Time
Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleepers
Trailer Type: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed 48' - 53'
Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Lift Gate and Moffett
Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
Freight: Touch/No Touch - Depends On The Account Supporting

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Performs other duties as assigned
