Job Summary

assess, evaluate, and develop customized treatment plans to manage and improve lymphedema symptoms, promote overall well-being and enhance patients' quality of life. Utilizing your expertise in manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) techniques, compression therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education, you will play a crucial role in helping patients manage their condition effectively.
Job Responsibilities

Assesses patient 's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary.
Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
Oversees the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and OT practice standards.
Supervises OT & OTA students completing clinical rotations.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required upon hire
No experience required
OT - Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND
BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
