Duties

Utilize an established checklist to conduct inspections on facilities.
Coordinates inter/intra service agreements for various services.
Produces reports to describe vehicle accidents and misuse.
Input data into an established system to track vehicle and facility maintenance.
Manage maintenance and licensing of vehicle fleet and drivers.
Utilize organizational methods to maintain a fleet of non-tactical motor vehicles.
Advise on all matters pertaining to motor vehicle control to ensure all work is completed within standards.
Identify facility requirements for multiple locations within assigned organization.

Requirements Conditions of Employment

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires you to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state issued or US Territory issued Driver's License.
This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e. g. , Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e. g. , professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves: utilizing existing directives to assist in the management of facilities and/or a motor vehicle fleet; entering data into an established automated system; preparing reports in accordance with procedures; and reviewing maintenance requirements for facilities and/or vehicles within assigned organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full academic year of graduate-level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Additional information
