Join our exciting Ambulatory Surgery Unit as a full-time Clinical Nurse III. We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As part of our team, you will engage with patients during their surgical journeys, ensuring they receive exceptional care throughout their experience. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals while having opportunities to learn and grow in your nursing career.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary treatments, procedures, and special tests while documenting care as per policy.
Interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions effectively.
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care decisions competently.
Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as ordered.
Engage in patient and family teaching based on the patient's developmental age and the type of procedure.
Work collaboratively with the nursing team to create and implement individualized Plans of Care.
Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).
Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
Maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
Knowledge of quality concepts and principles with the ability to apply them in patient care improvement.
