SUMMARY

The Manager of Talent and Culture is a key member of the Human Resources team, reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer. Areas of direct responsibility include, but are not limited to recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Manager of Talent and Culture works across all levels and departments at Foodlink to implement organization-wide programs and practices that attract, develop, and retain diverse, high-performing talent, and foster a culture of inclusivity. As one of the leaders in Foodlink's continued work on building an equitable, diverse and inclusive culture, the Manager of Talent and Culture is expected to be emotionally intelligent, culturally competent, empathetic and collaborative. This is a values-driven leader who must be effective at toggling between strategic thinking and tactical implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTalent Acquisition and Onboarding:

• Oversees talent acquisition to ensure the organization effectively and efficiently attracts, sources, and selects high-caliber candidates.
• Drives talent management strategies to ensure accurate and up-to-date job descriptions and adequate staffing, aligning with business needs.
• Screen applications/resumes and partner with hiring managers to fill vacancies in administrative, entry-level, and mid-level management positions.
• Build community networks to find qualified candidates and attend career fairs and community events for recruiting and organization recognition.
• Develop plans that drive the overall talent acquisition process, quality of hiring, and time-to-fill goals.
• Maintains all applicant and interview data to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Check references, create new hire letters for signature, and send out new hire packages.
• Support recruitment efforts for Foodlink Career Fellowship
• Lead the development of a comprehensive on-boarding program for all new employees, under the direction of the Chief People and Culture Officer
• Assist in the new hire orientation process, ensuring new employees feel welcomed, informed and prepared.
• Conducts regular check-ins with new hires in the first 90 days
• Partner with the Chief People and Culture Officer with stay and exit interviews

• Collaborate with the Chief People and Culture Officer to create and implement a learning and development strategy that supports Foodlink's strategic goals, promotes individual and organizational growth, and develops future-ready employees.
• Work with the Chief People and Culture Officer on creating an annual training and development schedule.
• Implement evaluation frameworks to measure the impact of learning initiatives, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimize programs based on employee performance metrics, engagement surveys, and data analytics.
• Redesign the employee onboarding experience and leadership development initiatives to support long-term workforce planning.
• Ensure that learning initiatives address current and future skill gaps, supporting long-term workforce planning.
• Work with the Chief People and Culture Officer to manage the budget for learning, development, and engagement initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Develop and manage a learning calendar, ensuring that programs are well-organized, effectively communicated, and aligned with Foodlink's organizational priorities.
• Other department and agency duties as assigned by Chief People and Culture Officer.

• Develop a deep understanding of the organization's past and current workforce diversity, equity, and inclusiveness initiatives
• Chair the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and lead all DEI efforts for the agency.
• Partner with the Chief People and Culture Officer to create and facilitate agency training initiatives and implement strategies that improve diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Foodlink.
• Continue education to stay abreast of DEI updates, industry changes, and training.
• Lead change, impact organizational culture, and measure DEI effectiveness.
• Continue training on anti-racism that is core for all employees and supplemental learning opportunities for those who want to engage more deeply
• Establish baseline metrics, desired outcomes, and goals for engagement of staff; track, analyze, and report upon progress.

• Attend community events (e. g. job fairs, fundraisers) as a representative of Foodlink
• Support the employee engagement committee and agency wellness initiatives.
• Assist the Chief People and Culture Officer and HR team with human resources tasks and projects.
• Other department and organizational duties as assigned by Chief People and Culture Officer.

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Human Resource or equivalent work experience
• 5+ year of professional experience with increasing responsibility and scope.
• Successful experience in recruitment and talent acquisition
• Demonstrated relationship-building skills
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and/or CRM databases
• Excellent written and oral communication and project management skills
• Proven experience and knowledge implementing learning and development solutions in a fast-paced environment, including educational awareness, training, and presenting and facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion subjects.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using and presenting data to make decisions
• Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships at all levels and ability to interact with a diverse group of employees, using a calm, tactful, discreet, and effective approach and responding appropriately and professionally to the situation
