POSITION SUMMARY: Seekinga self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Special Events team and help with our high-volume event business. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette, analytical experience and willing to help where needed. This candidate must have great attention to detail, be proactive and complete tasks in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Manage all event income and reconcile receipts for the Hotel Special Events Team

Generate event invoices for clients in a timely manner

Answer phones and provide information to clients regarding our properties

Assist managers with creation of events signage and menus for all hotel properties

Check voicemails for incoming leads

Manage team schedules and meetings

Conduct weekly sales forecasting

Conduct end of month reporting

Assist with adhoc tasks and projects as assigned within the Hotel Special Events Team

Interact with other executives and department heads for collaboration

Greet and assist internal and external clients and guests

Print, fax, scan, file, copy, and bind documents

Other tasks as assigned daily

EDUCATION/WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma

At least 21 years of age

2 years similar role and/or previous corporate experience

Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of TripleSeat preferred but not required.

Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards

Ability to network to establish and maintain relationships with clients and key partners

Must have good positive energy throughout the day

Must have exceptional skills in driving results against aggrieve timelines, managing multiple priorities and executing flawlessly

Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Must be able to read the computer monitors and print legibly

Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office

Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations

Must be able to push and lift up to 50 lbs.

Office, Nightclub, Bar, Lounge, and/or Restaurant working environment

0-25% Local Travel (United States)

Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume

May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required

Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards

Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
