ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB's Hauppauge, NY office is seeking a Transportation Intern to work on engineering programs and learn technical skills and computational software.

Responsibilities

* Effectively interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner

* Perform engineering calculations

* Perform site visits/field data collection

* Assist with preliminary and final design plans

* Assist with contract documents, including specifications

* Completion of engineer's estimates

* Prepare construction documents

Skills and Attributes

* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to independently manager multiple tasks

* Self-motivated with attention to detail

Qualifications

* Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering

Our best estimate of the hourly salary range for this position located in New York is $19/hr - $28/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
