Driver Positions Pay Weekly
$1250/wk min guarantee for 5 days worked
Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour
Regional within 400-mile radiusof your house,Needs reliable vehicle
Overtime Paid After 40 hours
Tenure bonus $1,000 each year when actively employed from Nov 1st Oct 31st .
Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel OR Sleeper, Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
Sign On Bonus:Pays you $250 at 30 days and $250 at 90 days
Schedule: Monday Friday -Must be Flexible.
Hours per Week: 50 + hours average per week
DeliverTo:NE and New England region
TrailerType:Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed
Freight: Touch/No Touch - Varies by Account
Comprehensive Benefits start 30 days after hire
Paid Time Off Starts at Day 1- 80 hours accrued in 1st year

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities.

Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleeper - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck/Flatbed
TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside and Container(6 months flatbed required)
Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate and Moffett
Freight:Mix of Touch/No Touch Product Varies
Load Securement Strapping, Tarping and Chaining

The starting salary for this position is $84,000. Employees may also be eligible for a Shift Differential

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Performs other duties as assigned
