Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Specialty: Respiratory Therapist with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Experience
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Night Shift
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Level 2 or greater NICU experience is required, ideally with preceptor ability/experience.
License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
Must-Have: - Must live 100 miles away from the institution's location.
• Administer respiratory care by the prescription of a physician.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluation, which includes obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens and interpreting physiologic data.
• Perform tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system.
• Manage, educate, and rehabilitate patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Apply technology and treatment protocols across care sites, including medical gases, environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, and artificial airway care.
• Provide bronchopulmonary hygiene and administer pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures.
• Facilitate cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
