REQUIRED ACTIVE/CURRENT UPON SUBMISSION:
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required. BLS & ACLS certification required. Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI or VI), or RCIS Certification.

POSITION TITLE:Cath Lab Tech/Certified
DEPARTMENT: Cath Lab
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist/Cardiologist.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.Graduation from accredited radiologic technology program.
SKILLS:
EXPERIENCE:One year radiologic experience required and one year interventional or cath lab experience preferred.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION:
-Responsible to: Manager, Cath Lab
ENVIRONMENT:
- Bloodborne pathogen - C
Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment.Subject to stressful professional relationships.Working hours are varied, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
