Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm. • Responsibilities
•
+ Performs engineering work in various engineering fields within the Environmental Practice for Water and Wastewater Treatment and Infrastructure Practice such as pipelines, pump stations and reservoirs
+ Works on engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, permitting and alternative analysis
+ Prepares technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, and working through the construction phase on the projects
+ Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of medium to large sizes of moderately complex nature
+ Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field
+ Responsible for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
+ Responsible for training and monitoring internal staff
+ Responsible for acting independently and making authoritative decisions on technical matters
+ Develops significant relationships with new and existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance
+ Supports firm's relationships with client management personnel
+ Active in professional associations, including participation at local, state and national levels
+ including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions
+ Travel required when requested
• Qualifications
•
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
+ 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design
+ Registration as a Professional Engineer
+ Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards
+ Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation
+ Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
+ Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
+ Experience working with water and wastewater facilities, wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects
+ Proficient in MS Word and Excel
