About the role:

We are seeking a seasoned Director, Integration Technical Lead to design and implement scalable integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), formerly known as IBM Integration Bus (IIB). This role demands deep expertise in integration technologies, particularly in building APIs, leveraging integration patterns, and utilizing cloud integration tools such as Azure. The ideal candidate will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-level integration solutions, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure that integration systems are robust, secure, and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Scalable Integration Solutions: Lead the design of scalable and efficient integration solutions using IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise), with a strong focus on key integration patterns such as enterprise service bus (ESB), message routing, data transformation, content-based routing, pub/sub systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Architecture & Integration Pattern Selection: Evaluate and select the appropriate integration tools and methodologies, ensuring that they align with the overall solution architecture. Guide the use of REST APIs, message queues, JMS, and MQ to ensure seamless data exchange across systems.
• Integration Design for Core Applications: Collaborate with teams to deeply understand Everest core applications and their integration requirements. Develop tailored solutions that follow best practices and industry-standard integration patterns.
• Documenting Existing and New Integrations: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for existing integration systems and future solution designs. Ensure detailed records are available for architecture, data flow, and system dependencies.
• Release Management & Technical Dependencies: Develop comprehensive release plans for integration solutions, managing the technical dependencies for weekly releases with development teams. Ensure smooth coordination across teams to meet delivery timelines.
• Oversee Development & Deployment: Guide the development and deployment of integration solutions, ensuring they are robust, secure, and performant. Lead efforts for testing, quality assurance, and implementation in production environments.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Take ownership of complex integration issues. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve problems related to ACE/IIB message flows, message queues, and system communication.
• Collaboration & Design Review: Participate in project design meetings with solution architects and other stakeholders. Review integration designs for new projects and enhancement work, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Utilize Dynatrace and other monitoring tools to analyze production and staging environments. Proactively identify and address potential performance or functional issues, ensuring the stability and efficiency of integration solutions.
• Proactive Communication: Actively communicate issues, concerns, and progress with the team lead and stakeholders. Plan and prioritize resolutions in alignment with project timelines and business needs.

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise integration technologies, with deep expertise in integration patterns and best practices.
• Strong experience with IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB), including expertise in designing and developing message flows, message sets, JMS, MQ, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web services.
• Proficient in cloud integration, particularly with Azure integration tools such as Logic Apps, Function Apps, Event Grid, and Event Hub.
• Proven experience in building REST APIs, designing pub/sub systems, and working with message queues for scalable integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in APIM applications and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including expertise in GIT for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with scripting tools such as Terraform for automation and infrastructure management.
• Experience with streaming solutions including Kafka, Confluent.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace for proactive system management and optimization.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with cloud-native integration solutions, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
• Knowledge of security protocols related to integration, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Prior experience working in an Agile environment, delivering integration solutions in iterative sprints.
