JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity.

We are seeking a highly skilled and entry level Software Development Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in in Python, deep knowledge of networking, operating systems, and databases, and hands-on experience with various coding tools and methodologies.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, on the development and troubleshooting of our product line, driving innovation in our QA practices, and ensuring high-quality product delivery.

What you'll do.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python and Selenium.
  
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of automation solutions.
  
• Collaborate closely with Development, Product Management, and Customer Support teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
  
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing efforts.
  
• Conduct thorough codereviews for automation changes to ensure high standards of code quality, reliability, and performance.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues both independently and collaboratively.
  
• Perform functional, integration for web-based UIs and REST APIs.
  

Who you are.

• 1-5 years of hands on experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• A proactive and innovative problem-solver with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Proficient in Python programming with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
  
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP(S), and others.
  
• In-depth understanding of operating system concepts and basic database concepts.
  
• Familiarity with network tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump is a plus.
  
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms.
  
• Familiarity with web-based UI based development.
  
• Must reside within a commutable distance to our HQ in Tinton Falls, NJ.
  Please note that this role will require at least 3 days onsite a week.
  

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in the data management, backup, or storage industry.
  
• Exposure to emerging technologies and a willingness to learn and explore new domains.
