We are looking for a Production Lead interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our production team at PIM's manufacturing facility in Somerset NJ.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Production Lead will provide support to the Mogul Supervisor and or Shift Manager in the manufacturing department of the facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Trainer for Mogul Operator and Cook positions on assigned shift.
Provide first level troubleshooting support for Mogul Operators and Cooks.
Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.
Coordinate and assist in maintenance support as needed. May be involved in performing basic repairs/ preventative maintenance, once authorized by maintenance.
Communicates issues to Shift Manager; including any potential safety or policy violations.
Back-up for preparing and distributing daily paperwork at the beginning of each shift, collect at the end of the shift & ensure all documents are complete, correct and turned in on time.
Relieve Mogul Operators.
Relieve Kitchen Cooks.
Leads by example demonstrating good GMP, HACCP & SQF practices.
Provide coaching on a daily basis to Mogul Operators & Cooks.
Input data and verifies data entries by Mogul Operators, Cooks & Truckers.
Initiate ideas to improve productivity based on experience and serve on improvement teams to eliminate major downtime or quality issues.
Ability to work additional hours as needed

Monitor Waste Totes
Assist on PM Days to:a) Calibrate tank and ABS tanksb) Make sure equipment is down at wash area
Assist in Monthly Safety Shower Testing
Monitor Print Board Room and fill out forms where applicable
Assist on inventory; return unused ingredients
Make certain RedZone Logins are performed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Position requires a mix of standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 30 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
High School education or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to read, speak, and write English is required
Understanding of HACCP, SQF & GMPs.
Basic math and computer skills are required.
Basic mechanical skills required.
Be able to troubleshoot equipment issues and provide maintenance with initial direction.
Able to operate all three moguls without supervision (including CIP and changeovers).
High sense of urgency
Team player
Accountable
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole) language a plus, and strong overall communication skills required.
Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
