About the Job
We're seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join our team for a 10 PM start shift. This role requires a proactive and skilled mechanic who can handle both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure all production equipment runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance : Plan, lead, and execute PM to minimize equipment downtime.
Equipment Maintenance : Maintain all production machinery according to manufacturer specifications, including reading and following manuals.
Reactive Maintenance : Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and structural components to resolve equipment failures.
Welding & Adjustments : Perform welding repairs and make necessary adjustments to keep equipment in top condition.
Refrigeration Monitoring : Oversee and monitor refrigeration equipment.
Project Work : Participate in projects for equipment upgrades and installations.
Team Collaboration : Work with team members, Quality Control, Supervisors, and Operators to ensure the production schedule is met.
Reporting : Document and report maintenance problems verbally and with written follow-ups.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience : 3-5 years in manufacturing maintenance, preferably with high-speed production equipment.
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge in welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting .
Mechanical Expertise : Must have machinist and part fabrication skills; PLC experience is a plus.
Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel .
Certifications : Refrigeration Engineer's License is a plus, with preference for Blue, Red, or Gold Seal certifications.
Physical Ability : Able to lift, push, or pull up to 60 lbs.
Flexibility : Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience
Equipment Maintenance : Skilled in maintaining motors, pumps, valves, seals, bearings, shafts, and conveyor belts.
Electrical & Controls : Experience with electrical control systems, conveyor systems, and welding.
Machine Operation : Familiarity with machines such as lathes, drills, grinders, and milling machines .
Safety Procedures : Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) for safe maintenance practices.
Specialty Equipment : Experience with Videojets (labeling) and blow molders .
