Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist

Your role as an Cardiovascular Technologist includes:

Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including echocardiograms, vascular ultrasounds, and cardiac catheterizations.
Prepare and operate specialized imaging equipment such as ultrasound, EKG, and fluoroscopy machines.
Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures, including angioplasties and stent placements.
Monitor patient vital signs and provide support during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
Analyze and interpret imaging results to assist physicians in accurate diagnoses.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and answering questions.
Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of cardiovascular imaging equipment.
Requirements of the Cardiovascular Technologist:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

BLS Certification
ARRT Certification
NJ License
2 years of experience as an Cardiovascular Technologist
