Must-Have Qualifications:
Tax Expertise: 5-10+ years of practical and technical experience in US federal and state income tax.
Tax Provisioning: Experience in US GAAP income tax provisioning.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with SAP, HFM, Corptax, and Alteryx (a plus).

Client's tax team, based in NJ, USA, enjoys an excellent reputation across the organization.
The team collaborates closely with the controllership and other core functions.
As a key member of this small and friendly team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and support the execution of Client's strategic growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tax Compliance:
Review federal pro-forma tax returns in Corptax and all supporting workpapers.
Ensure timely review and filing of Client's federal consolidated tax return.
E-file Client's federal consolidated tax return.
Review state/locality returns prepared by Client or third-party resources.
Oversee quarterly federal and state estimates and extensions.
Manage and mentor an income tax associate.
Assist with federal and state income tax audits and information document requests.
Investigate and resolve income tax notices.
Coordinate tax payments for the Client tax department.
2. Tax Reporting:
Assist with quarterly and annual US GAAP income tax provisions.
Review the company's income tax account reconciliations quarterly.
Review federal book-tax difference calculations.
Review deferred tax asset/liability workpapers and balances.
Review state tax reporting workpapers.
Document applicable internal tax controls.
3. Other Responsibilities:
Assist with ad-hoc matters, including cash tax management, business support, and corporate project support.
Drive efficiency and simplicity in the tax function through standardization, simplification, and technology utilization.
Liaise with external tax advisors on relevant matters.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience in automating income tax processes (a plus).
College degree in Finance/Accounting (preferred); additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
MS in Taxation and/or CPA (a plus).
Familiarity with SAP, HFM, Corptax, and Alteryx (a plus).
