The Associate Director, HR is accountable for building and maintaining strong relationships with the clients they support.
This role will have responsibility for providing support to Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America (MTPA), with a primary focus in partnering with MTPA Corporate Division function Leaders and employees.
Partnering with other members of the HR team and other key internal partners, the HRBP Associate Director will leverage knowledge and best practices to provide guidance and counsel to management team, supporting the building and maintenance of a skilled and motivated workforce capable of and, committed to, delivering their business strategy.
With minimal guidance and coaching from the Director, HR, the Associate Director, HR acts as an advisor to assigned management teams by providing advice and guidance on sensitive and often complex HR issues, in the areas of compensation, performance management, learning & development, recruitment, job evaluation, change management and employee issue resolution.
Responsibilities:

Provides strategic direction and ensures the effective execution of all aspects of human resources management, including compensation and benefits, compliance with federal and state employment laws, talent management, training and development, performance management, recruitment, employee retention, and HR data management and reporting metrics.
Consults with business on a broad range of organizational issues of critical importance.
Provides guidance, consultation and interpretation to management as it relates to employee relations, organizational development, legal issues and policies and practices.
Addresses and resolves employee relations issues in addition to conducting formal internal investigations as necessary.
Assesses human resource needs and oversees the refinement and implementation of organization-wide systems and structures.
Responds to staff needs and partners with internal business partners to ensure effective staff are recruited, retained, and developed.
Works closely with organizational leadership and managers to maintain a positive work environment and culture, and helps facilitate the resolution of interpersonal issues.
Fosters a trusting environment that is characterized by transparency, active listening and direct communication.
Collaborates closely with the senior management team to ensure that all Human Resources initiatives are aligned with the strategic direction and goals of the organization.
Partners with other functions of the HR team (talent acquisition, compensation, learning & development, etc.) to meet clients business needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field? Masters Degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 - 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
Proven experience in managing complex employee relations matters
Must have pharmaceutical experience.
Preferred:
Experience in a startup organization.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all facets of Human Resources including but not limited to:
employee relations, company policy and procedure compliance, HR educational training, performance management, and HR-related processes and
systems.
Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively, up to executive levels, with other individuals and groups in a matrix organization.
Advanced MS Office skills.
Willingness to travel up to 15%.

The salary range for this position is $129,000 - $220,000.
Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program.
Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
This position is eligible to participate in our Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program.
