Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center. This position offers comprehensive benefits, a competitive Total Rewards package, and a great work experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
ASN or Nursing Diploma
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
BSN
Minimum one year RN experience in OR Setting scrub and circulating
Certifications and Licenses Required:
Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
BLS from the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift, 40 Hours/week
Full Time, Monday Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
Essential Functions:
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting safety issues and medical errors.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to appropriate team members and collaborating with other patient care providers.
The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizing the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
