4 holding, 4 observation, 3 procedural rooms Patient Ratios:
depends on if you are working in the procedural room or in holding. 3 people per team in procedural for 1 patient, generally 2 patients per nurse in holding (not for techs) Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability):
1 unit coordinator, 5 RCIS/Tech, 7 RNs. Not all members are in each day. Generally about 9-10 staff members are scheduled daily Type of equipment:
GE xray system, GE hemodynamics, Meditech documentation. Many different types of procedural equipment Documentation system:
Meditech Scheduling requirements:
5 days/week (8 Hr days) & call generally 10 days/month for call Floating policy:
if no cases, may be asked to float this is rare Patient Experience requirements:
cath lab experience is preferred. For travel staff this is a requirement. Hospital Specifics- Certifications:
