Must-Have:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Prescribe and coordinate professional nursing care for assigned patients independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
• Plan, direct, and evaluate total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, in accordance with established philosophy.
• Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care and maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units.
• Participate in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel.
• Ability to read vital signs and provide injections/vaccinations.
• Willingness to float without hesitation.
• Work with a 12-bed unit and 3-4 other staff members on the unit.
• Participate in a 4 to 6-week orientation before going onto the floor, including hands-on training.
• Conduct oneself in accordance with the ANA standards, with additional specialty standards applying to all specialty nurses.
• Required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties requested by the supervisor.
