Introduction

We are looking for a committed and skilled Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Float Pool to join our caring healthcare family. As a float pool nurse, you will be vital in providing care across various units, including ICU, Emergency Department, Intermediate Care, and Medical/Surgical Units. This position is full-time, requiring 36 hours a week, from 7 AM to 7 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Pool RN is responsible for independent planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating patient care per established standards and policies. The role requires participation in mandatory in-services and completion of educational requirements.

What You'll Do:

Deliver therapeutic and administrative services for patient care while adhering to ethical principles.
Ensure safe medication administration for adult patients.
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document all aspects of patient care, adapting as necessary.
Supervise unlicensed personnel while delegating appropriate tasks.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively using computerized systems.
Coordinate discharge planning needs with team members and provide patient education tailored to individual needs.
Act as an effective team member, orient new staff, and take on charge nurse responsibilities when required.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or Compact License.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
CPI certification within 60 days of hire.
PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
TNCC certification within six months of hire.
At least one year of critical care nursing experience is required.
Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN is preferred.
